jocTODO is a small and deliberately simple Microsoft® Windows® application for your task management. Main target was to create a program which optimally supports you in your daily work while at the same time is extremely simple to comprehend.
The basic usage is as follows:
You enter all your pending work as Projects into jocTODO. Each Project gets a name, and the individual work steps needed to complete the task are added in the correct order. If you like you can also for each Project set a Priority, add Notes and associate a freely choosable Category.
After you have created all your Projects, you will see them listed in the jocTODO main window, sorted by Priority and Project name. While you work off this list, you can simply "check off" accomplished work steps. These are removed from the list and the next work step needed shows up. When you have done all the work steps of a Project you can delete it as you are done.
A similar method of work management is e.g. described in the „Getting Things Done“® - Methodology of David Allen (often abbreviated as GTD®), comparable are in particular the concepts „Project“ and „Action“. A difference on the other hand is the use of Priorities known from time management. Other concepts like Input Basket and Calendar are not reflected in jocTODO.
HINT: If you would like to work according to the GTD®-Concept with jocTODO, you can use a simple text file as Input Basket, any desired Calendar Application and just leave all Priorities on "Normal".
